Who NOT To Talk To After A Car Accident: Protecting Your Case
Transcript
Hi, I am Mike Hancock with the Hancock Injury Attorneys and if you’re watching this video, you’ve most likely been injured in some type of accident recently. I’m sure you have a lot of questions, including questions such as who you should and shouldn’t be talking with following your accident. I want to talk with you a little bit about that today.
Most likely within the first week after an accident, you’re going to be receiving phone calls from a number of different insurance adjusters. The best recommendation I can give you is don’t give any type of recorded statement to any insurance adjuster before speaking with an attorney. The reason is this; the insurance companies and the insurance adjusters may talk with you and come across as being your friend and on your side, but in reality, what they’re doing is they’re trying to elicit information from you that is going to ultimately hurt your case and help them pay you the least amount of money possible. They do it in such a way that they’re trained to do without you even realizing what they’re doing.
So, we can give you advice on what questions to expect from these insurance adjusters and how to best honestly answer them, but answer them in a way that is going to be beneficial to your case. Before you speak with any insurance adjuster from either side, either your insurance adjuster or the insurance adjuster for the person that caused the accident, reach out to an attorney ask for a free consultation. We provide those every single day and get a consultation from an attorney before you speak with any adjusters.
If you have any other questions, give me a call. I’m happy to speak with you and answer any questions you might have. I’m Mike Hancock with Hancock Injury Attorneys. Give me a call at 813-915-1110.
