Hi, I’m Mike Hancock with Hancock Injury Attorneys and if you’re watching this video, you’ve most likely been involved in some type of accident within the past week or two. And, I know you have a lot of questions, legal questions, questions about your medical care, and I want to address those questions about your medical care in this video.
Most often, our clients leave the scene of an accident, whether it’s a car accident or some type of motorcycle accident or slip and fall case, and they go to the emergency room. Once they’re discharged from the emergency room, they’re told to follow up with a physician of their choice within five to seven days if the pain doesn’t go away. And, if you’re obviously watching this video, most likely the pain hasn’t gone away.
One thing that we can do for our clients is to recommend the appropriate doctor, whether it’s an orthopedic surgeon, a neurologist, a chiropractor, physical therapist, whatever is most appropriate for your particular type of injury and we can recommend any number of doctors that we know, like, and trust.
I’ve been an attorney in Tampa practicing personal injury law for almost 30 years and during those 30 years, I’ve learned who the good doctors are and who the bad doctors are. I’ve learned who the doctors are that I would go to myself, who I would refer my friends and family to, and I can use that knowledge to assist you and refer you to the best doctor for your condition and that’s the way we practice.
I won’t refer anybody to what’s commonly known as a PIP clinic or some auto injury clinic in town as a lot of other law firms will do. Those PIP clinics or auto injury clinics, in my opinion, are more interested in taking your money than getting you better. So, if you have questions about where to seek medical treatment, we can help with that. I’m Mike Hancock. Hancock Injury Attorneys.
