Hancock Injury Attorneys is proud to support and sponsor the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event this year in our local Tampa area. Under normal conditions, Making Strides of Tampa is a 5K walk/run to raise money for breast cancer treatment as well as promote healthy, preventative lifestyles. The event in Tampa is among the top 10 in the country, having raised over a million in proceeds from last year’s event alone from the efforts of over 30,000 participants!
Due to COVID-19, Making Strides has reimagined Tampa’s event this year to avoid any large crowds. The team at Hancock Injury Attorneys is proud to support this year’s “Walk Where You Are” virtual 5K, a digitally-based, social media-driven event wherein participants will walk or run in their own neighborhoods and communities on October 17th, share photos of their efforts, and raise money for the fight against breast cancer. There will also be a virtual, national weekend of celebration to commemorate participant efforts this year to be held on October 17th and 18th.
This cause is especially important to the team at Hancock Injury Attorneys, as Hannah, attorney Mike Hancock’s daughter, has recently battled and defeated breast cancer within the past year. Our team is working to spread the word about this amazing organization and the opportunity to support such a significant cause. Keep an eye out for our social media campaign on their website, and please do not hesitate to walk “with” us and register for this event while you still can!
If you cannot walk or run during the event but would like to promote the cause, consider donating to Hancock Injury Attorneys Making Strides team!
