Hancock Injury Attorneys is proud to have worked with the Community Food Pantry (CFP) in North Tampa these past five years, having first partnered with the organization in 2017. Keep reading to learn more about our involvement with the Community Food Pantry and other organizations in the Tampa Bay area.
About The Community Food Pantry
The CFP began in 2008 and is committed to ending hunger in our local community. The CFP had humble beginnings, having started in a small closet in the Village Presbyterian Church to have its own building. In 2018 alone, the CFP provided groceries to over 11,000 families.
And during the COVID-19, the CFP is feeding even more families than ever before. The CFP welcomes monetary or food donations. These donations will in turn be used to help struggling families in the area. And besides providing food, the CFP also provides “Bags of Hope,” which are pre-packaged hygiene bags, to anyone who needs it.
The CFP Nothing But Turkey Campaign 2020
In 2020, we partnered with the CFP for their Nothing But The Turkey campaign. Through our combined efforts, we were able to provide 200 families with turkey to enjoy during the Thanksgiving holiday.
This most recent Thanksgiving, we partnered again with the CFP. We worked to provide local families with groceries and turkey, and other food for Thanksgiving meals.
Our Work With The CFP In 2021
As of 2021, Hancock Injury Attorneys is a Gold sponsor of the CFP, meaning that we donated $7,500 to the charity within a year. The firm donated $2,500 during the back-to-school season in celebration of the firm’s 25th anniversary. And during the holiday season, we donated $5,000.00 during Giving Tuesday.
Our Other Work In The Community

Tampa Police Memorial Run 2021
This past October, we sponsored the 27th annual Tampa Police Memorial Run. The proceeds from this event help support families of Tampa Bay police officers who have died in the line of duty. Moreover, proceeds go towards creating memorials for those fallen officers.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 2021
Also this past October, we sponsored the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event put on by the American Cancer Society. The fight against breast cancer is a cause very near to the hearts of attorneys Mike and Claire Hancock. As parents of a child who survived breast cancer, they understand the importance of taking part in the fight against this deadly disease. Proceeds from this event go towards efforts to spread awareness and promote education about breast cancer prevention.
