As a parent to two new adults – my daughters are now 18 and 20, I want them to be educated about the responsibilities that come with all the fun of being an adult. Thanks to The Florida Bar, an app is now available to educate Florida’s high school seniors and all young adults about their legal rights and responsibilities that come with turning 18.
Through the Just Adulting mobile app, Florida’s high school seniors will be better prepared to “adult” in this exciting world of rights, responsibilities and obligations. The app, which can be downloaded at www.justadulting.com, covers many legal topics such as penalties for possession of a fake ID and underage drinking, open container laws, signing contracts, texting while driving and many more.
The Just Adulting website has numerous resources beyond the app to educate young adults and their parents on their new legal rights and responsibilities including an easy to understand infographic and quiz show lesson.
