A Dallas Family’s son got his foot caught in an escalator at a resort while they were in Hawaii, tearing skin from his leg and requiring emergency surgery. According to the Findlaw blog, the parents are suing Crocs, claiming that the shoes the boy was wearing at the time were “negligently and improperly designed,” and that the company knew about the risk to children wearing their shoes on escalators.
Senior Citizen Attacked By Dog
An 83-year-old man in Jacksonville, FL was fatally attacked by his neighbors four dogs. One of the witnesses said that the gos were living in small, filthy cages and that the owner hit them with “a closed fist.” Dogs aren’t inherently bad. It is usually how humans treat them that cause them to be aggressive. No charges are filed as of yet.

A study by the Centers for Disease Control found that close to 21,000 kids, 14 and younger suffer from traumatic brain injuries every year. This number proves that the rate of concussions among children is continuing to rise. While the cause is unknown, the CDC recommends more adult supervision, equipment maintenance, and safer environments at playgrounds in general.
