Our Community Involvement
Mike Hancock is a second generation Tampa native, raising his family where his parents raised him. Mike is tied to our community, a leader in local charitable organizations, and he works to make Tampa a safe place for all our families. Among other pro-bono and charitable organizations for which he volunteers, Mr. Hancock serve as Secretary and Legal Counsel on the Board of Directors of the Carrollwood Civic Association and the President of the Carrollwood Bar Association. Community Involvement is important to the entire Hancock family, daughters Hannah and Gracie included. We are your neighbors and we are part of your community.
Community Food Pantry
At our firm we donate as often as possible to the Community Food Pantry of Carrollwood/Northdale to help stop hunger in our community. The Community Food Pantry helped feed over 21,000 North Tampa residents in 2016. This includes parents who have trouble making ends meet, seniors on fixed incomes deciding between medicine and groceries, individuals who have lost a job or are underemployed. Over 5,500 local families visited the pantry to receive groceries, a gracious welcome and emotional support as well as blood pressure screenings and information on social services. The pantry is able to share their bounty of food with other local charity organizations and have charity events throughout the year including “Everything But the Turkey” providing a Thanksgiving meal to families in need and participating in Give Day Tampa Bay. Something we find unique about the pantry is that they let their clients “shop” just like in a normal grocery store. There is not a predetermined bag of groceries they receive every month. We encourage you to donate either money, food, or time to this incredible organization that betters our community.
