Hancock Injury Attorneys Are Committed to Helping the Community
As attorneys, the main reason we do what we do is to help people in their times of need. Our goal is to have every single client leave our office feeling more in control of their situation than they did walking in. But, we want to extend our helping hands farther than just our clients, which is why we have started a “1% for good” campaign.
We will be donating 1% of all our revenues to local, Carrollwood organizations that are doing their part in the community. This year the organization we are focusing our efforts on is The Community Food Pantry.
Learn more about this wonderful organization:
The Community Food Pantry of Carrollwood/Northdale is commited to stopping hunger in our community. The Community Food Pantry helped feed over 37,000 North Tampa residents in 2017. This includes parents who have trouble making ends meet, seniors on fixed incomes deciding between medicine and groceries, individuals who have lost a job or are underemployed. Over 9,900 local families visited the pantry to receive groceries, a gracious welcome and emotional support as well as blood pressure screenings and information on social services. Here are some other impressive statistics for the pantry in 2017:
- 13,084 Children Fed
- 550,398 Meals Provided
- 18, 504 Volunteer Hours
- 66,048 lbs. of Food Per Month Served
- 664 Nursing Visits
The pantry is able to share their bounty of food with other local charity organizations and has charity events throughout the year including “Everything But the Turkey” providing a Thanksgiving meal to families in need and participating in “Give Day Tampa Bay”.
Something we find unique about the pantry is that they let their clients “shop” just like in a normal grocery store. There is not a predetermined bag of groceries they receive every month. We encourage you to donate either money, food, or time to this incredible organization that betters our community.
